Eat too much for your Thanksgiving dinner?? Want to get in shape for the upcoming December holidays?? Tired at the thought of holiday shopping?? Well, here’s the perfect remedy! Come out for a “short and sweet” hike that’s one o f our favorites and is very scenic even in late November! Total of four miles so it’s just the right length for a pleasant way to get some exercise and fresh air and renew your spirit for the upcoming holidays!! Hot mulled cider will be served afterwards in the parking lot.
Meet in the parking lot of Washington’s headquarters, near the intersection of Rt. 252 and Rt. 23. We follow the path along the creek, over Valley Creek via the “hidden” bridge, and then join the 5-mile paved trail briefly before heading up Mount Joy for some delightful views. Finally we complete our loop back to the parking lot.
