For something new and different, we will be heading to Waterville Valley, NH this year for not three but FOUR nights -- which means up to four whole days of skiing!! We will be staying at the Silver Fox Inn right in Waterville Valley and it's a BYOB! Each room has two double beds and wine and cheese is served in the lobby each night. A continental breakfast is served each morning including a hot egg casserole! A three-choice buffet dinner will be served each evening, all prepared fresh at the inn.
For X-C skiers and snowshoers, we'll be going to the Waterville Valley Nordic Center with 40 miles of trails (70 km.)!! If we want, we can travel to another x-c place one day. For downhillers, Waterville Valley has 52 trails and 12 lifts. A day at Loon Mt., half hour away, is an option. The Silver Fox is within walking distance of the town that includes shops and an indoor ice arena for ice skating.
Sally’s bus trips are well-known with shrimp cocktail and other delicious goodies on the way up and PLENTY of delicious home-baked cookies to enjoy throughout the weekend – peanut butter balls and sand tarts are VERY popular! Sign up at the September meeting – don’t wait too long! Sally’s trips always fill up quickly – you “snooze,” you lose! And the price this year is a real bargain -- just $5 more than last year's cost, and it is for FOUR days instead of three!! No airport hassle, no luggage angst, no traveling on a weekend!! What could be a better deal!!
